Fitness is an important aspect to develop in life. Fitness helps a person improve his/her abilities and help keep them healthy overall. The word “fitness” involves anything having to do with playing sports or exercising.

One thing that can lead you to a fit life is by exercising. There are two types of exercising that provide different results for the person working out: cardio and strength training. Cardio involves exercises with lighter weights and constant movement, such as jumping jacks or jogging. Strength training is different because it involves exercises with higher weight and less movement, like sit ups and bench presses. It’s suggested to alternate between cardio and strength training exercises in order to get in the perfect shape.

Below are exercises for cardio and for strength training.

Cardio:

  • Jog
  • Jumping jacks
  • High knees
  • Butt kicks
  • Run
  • Jump rope
  • Side skaters

Strength Training:

  • Weighted lunges
  • Squats
  • Deadlifts
  • Bicep curl
  • Tricep extension
  • Chest press
  • Shoulder press
